TORONTO – Toronto FC confirmed Wednesday that central defender Doneil Henry has left to join Apollon Limassol.

The Major League Soccer club revealed in October that the 14-time capped Canada international was sold to the Cypriot first-division side earlier in the year.  An agreement was reached, however, allowing the 21-year-old to remain on loan with the four-time Canadian champion for the 2014 season.

Henry, who has appeared in 11 all-time CONCACAF Champions League and three CONCACAF Gold Cup games, had been with the Toronto FC organization since joining its youth academy in 2008.

Apollon Limassol currently sits second in the domestic table, but has already been eliminated from UEFA Europa League contention with one win in five games.
