Guyana coach Johnson: “We’ll take the positives from this game”

In the build-up to Tuesday night’s historic match for Guyana, its first Concacaf Gold Cup match, Head Coach Michael Johnson was full of hope and belief.

“It was a tough task tonight, and the lads gave it their all,” Johnson said during his post-match press conference at Allianz Field in Saint Paul.

“Do we want to go further? Of course! And now we’ve got an opportunity against some slightly lower ranked teams. So let’s learn the lessons we need to learn, take the positives from this game, and apply ourselves moving forward”
