U.S. wins fifth Gold Cup title

CHICAGO – The United States won its fifth CONCACAF Gold Cup title on Sunday, defeating Panama 1-0 in the final before a crowd of 57,920 at Soldier.

Brek Shea scored the game-winning goal in the 68th minute, just seconds after entering the game as a substitute.

Kyle Beckerman was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding display in center midfield.
