KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica named an 18-man squad Friday for its international friendly at Canada on September 9 in Toronto.
The Reggae Boyz roster is highlighted by the presence of five players from local side Waterhouse FC, which tops Group 4 in the CONCACAF Champions League with a 2-0-1 (6 points) record.
Leicester City defender Wes Morgan also earned a call-up. The 30-year-old has been outstanding for the Foxes during their first season in the English Premier League since 2003/04, playing in all three matches, including a 1-1 draw with Arsenal last Sunday.
Jamaica is preparing to host the Caribbean Cup’s final round, November 9-18, 2014.
In the last meeting between them, the Jamaicans defeated visiting Canada, 1-0, in January 31, 2010, in Kingston.
