Jamaica, Curaçao vie for a spot in the quarterfinals
Leon Patrick Bailey has had an outstanding performance in Jamaicas offense in the Concacaf Gold Cup 2019 and will seek to ratify it in the last match of Group C against Curaçao.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – Jamaica and Curacao each control its own destiny as the two sides look to secure passage to the quarterfinals in the first 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup Group D match to take place on Tuesday at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

The two teams will meet for the second consecutive Gold Cup, with Jamaica taking a 2-0 win at the 2017 edition.

Jamaica defeated Honduras 3-2 and drew 0-0 with El Salvador in its first two group matches.

With a win or a draw, the Reggae Boyz will advance past the group stage for the third consecutive time in their history.

Curacao has made a bit of history of its own, picking up its first goal and first win at the Gold Cup in a 1-0 win over Honduras. The team lost its first group match 1-0 to El Salvador.

A win would send Curacao to the knockout stage for the first time in its history in only its second Gold Cup participation.

Jamaica has only lost one of its last eight Gold Cup matches, a 2-1 loss to the United States in the 2017 final.
