Gomez reveals Panama squad for U.S. friendly

PANAMA CITY, Panama – Panama head coach Hernan Dario Gomez named Thursday a 21-player roster for the Canaleros’ international friendly at the United States. 

The selection is consists mostly of domestic-based players, including six -- Ismael Diaz, Fidel Escobar, Chin Hormechea, Michael Murillo, Luis Pereira and Jhamal Rodríguez -- from the squad that finished as runner-up to Mexico in the recently completed CONCACAF Under-20 Championship.  Pereira was named the Golden Ball winner at the Confederation event in Jamaica.

Gomez will assemble the team on Monday to start training at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez Stadium, before traveling to the United States on February 4.

The match will be Panama’s since playing visiting Canada to a 0-0 draw on November 18, 2014.
