Honduras heads to its 10th Gold Cup under Colombian manager Luis Fernando Suarez after a confusing search since the World Cup. Following Reinaldo Rueda's resignation, Juan de Dios Castillo took over on an interim basis and led the team to the Copa Centroamericana title. Juan Carlos Osorio was tentatively pegged as his successor, but when he couldn't escape his club contract, Honduras turned to Suarez in March. Honduras stumbled following the Centroamericana, losing three matches and outscored 8-1. Suarez will at least look to match Honduras' semifinal appearance in 2009 relying on a midfield featuring Ramon Nunez and an attack led by Walter Martinez.
